2019 STC AGM and Annual Dinner

STC Don Sargood Trophy Winner 2018
Don Sargood Trophy Winner - Julien Newton Brown with Vice President Scott Gowland

Our night of nights this year will be held on Friday November 22nd at the Australian Club, William Street, Melbourne. We are again excited to be returning to this wonderful venue to make important Club announcements, award trophy winners and enjoy some great company and fine dining.

Full event details have been mailed to all Club members (as well as details on annual membership subscriptions).

We are delighted that this year’s special guest and the speaker will be Dr. Sean Tracey. Dr Tracey is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies. With a diverse portfolio in fisheries and marine ecosystems science, he conducts innovative research across multiple disciplines to address critical questions of both ecological consequences and facilitates sustainable management of marine resources. Dr. Tracey will also be focussing on the Tuna Champions initiative he has been a part (read his Bluewater Boats and Game Fishing article) and current members Tim and Trish Simpson are ambassadors of.

We ask all members to please RSVP for the AGM and Dinner by no later than Friday November 15th. RSVPs can either be mailed in using the form supplied with our recent letter, phoned through to the secretary or emailed. Use our 'contact us' page for contact points – many are new based off the change of secretary from last year.

Ideally the Club would prefer not to be taking cash payments on the evening, but rather members use the supplied banking details provided in the mailed invitation and complete payment with their RSVP. This year's payment form will also allow credit card details to be supplied so we can take a payment online. Also for those challenged by electronic banking, we will again have a card payment option available at the dinner to pay your subscription and to purchase merchandise.

Here's to another great turn out and evening like last year.
