Where in the world should you fish next? Let's ask Tim!

The First Marlin Game Fishing Documentary Screens at The Bermagui Country Club

It's not everyday you get to hear from a past editor-in-chief and presenter of world leading game fishing media, an IGFA Representative, record holder, educator and a guest star in our First Marlin documentary.

The Club was delighted to welcome Tim Simpson as the invitational guest speaker at our 2025 Annual Dinner. Tim thrilled members with an engaging and visually rich presentation exploring some of the world’s best fishing destinations.

Drawing on his extensive experience and global knowledge of game fishing, he provided fascinating insights into iconic locations, species, and conditions. The presentation was a standout highlight of the evening and sparked lively discussion among members, adding significant value to an already memorable night.

Surprisingly Tim noted and discussed many Australian destinations as must fish spots, but Prince Edward Islands giant Bluefin fishery was what left him him most stunned and amazed.

To watch tuna in excess of 1000 pounds rise behind the boat, in shallow water, and take baits had me gobsmaked!

For those who missed it, here are Tim's Top 10 game Fishing Destinations.
